Girona

Girona

Girona has a historic centre that is well worth exploring on foot.

The old town allows visitors to trace more than 2,000 years of history through two fortified areas: the Força Vella and the Medieval Expansion. The Jewish Quarter, with its beautiful narrow streets and arcaded squares, is an excellent starting point to explore a city that is always alive with shops, gastronomic offerings, and cultural activity, with nearly one hundred museums spread across the city. Parts of the iconic series Game of Thrones were filmed here, which gives a sense of the character and beauty of its streets.

For time off from studying, a perfect plan is to take a trip to the beaches of the Costa Brava and stroll through its charming seaside villages.

Girona is located in the north of Catalonia, and offers unique architecture and a location very close to the sea, the Pyrenees and France.
