University course fees

The system of public university prices in Catalonia is related to your financial and family circumstances. The amount you will finally pay takes into account your income and the number of members of your family unit, provided that your assets do not exceed certain thresholds.

To receive a grant or scholarship, you must be a Spanish national or have the nationality of a European Union Member State.

In the case of EU citizens or their family members, they are required to have permanent resident status or to prove that they are self-employed or employed by another party in Spain. These requirements do not apply to the enrolment grant.

If you are not an EU citizen, you must have a Spanish residence permit, i.e. a foreigner's identity number (NIE) or foreigner's identity card (TIE). Student permits are not valid.

Universities may set the price for credits at any academic level for non-resident foreign students who are not nationals of EU Member States or states to which European Union rules may apply. However, this price may not exceed 100% of the cost.
