University Network for Employment (XUO)
The University Network for Employment (XUO) is an alliance of the Catalan university system to help university students to enter the labour market. Its main mission is to support activities that foster employability and help to prepare graduates for professional practice.
The Inter-University Council of Catalonia and the University Network for Employment promote and coordinate all activities related to strategic areas for improving employability and promote job placement. The Network also supports projects that encourage mobility and work placements in international institutions, such as the UNICAT Ambassador Network and the RAUN programme.
UNICAT Ambassador Network
The UNICAT Ambassador Network project is a joint initiative by the Government of Catalonia and Catalan universities to bring European institutions closer to the university sphere and to promote the professional development of students in the European Union.
The UNICAT Ambassadors are a network of students from Catalonia who provide a point of contact at universities. Their role is to disseminate activities that encourage student participation in the European Union: from events organised by the institutions to work placement offers and job opportunities for students interested in starting a career in European Union institutions.
RAUN
The RAUN (Regional Academy on the United Nations) programme is organised jointly by the Government Delegation for Central Europe, the Ministry of Research and Universities and the RAUN to encourage and improve conditions for the mobility of students and university teaching staff, and to promote measures to improve the employability of master's and doctoral students.
The RAUN offers an international education programme aimed at master's and doctoral students, who participate in a nine-month programme to carry out practical research projects and contribute to international cooperation initiatives by such prestigious global organisations as the UN, the OSCE or the Ban Ki-Moon Center.
Participants in the RAUN programme attend conferences, participate in interactive workshops and carry out practical research projects related to the organisations' activities.
If you would like to participate as an ambassador for any of these projects, please contact the career guidance and employment service of your university (link to University Network for Employment contact points).
