Study Abroad

Study abroad students are those that register for a semester or a academic year without being admitted to the university by the normal Catalan university admissions process and have no links with an exchange programme or bilateral agreement. If you are interested in a period of study of this type at a Catalan university, please see the courses offered by each university.

El Diploma de Estudios Hispánicos (DEH) es un curso diseñado especialmente para que los estudiantes extranjeros que acuden a la Universidad de Lleida puedan profundizar en el conocimento de la lengua y la cultura españolas.

Dirigido a estudiantes con nivel A2 de lengua y cultura españolas, procedentes de universidades de países no hispánicos.

Facilita la integración de los estudiantes extranjeros en el nuevo Grado de Estudios Hispánicos: lengua y literatura, en el curso que se estime oportuno según la preparación demostrada por cada estudiante. Facilita también el acceso a otros grados no filológicos, en aquellos casos en que los responsables académicos autoricen el ingreso.

Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) is a young, modern and prestigious public university that hosts a high quality Study Abroad Program fully integrated in the university academic life.

Semester and all year students are able to enroll in Spanish Language courses, regular courses at all UPF Schools and Hispanic, European Studies Program (HESP) courses or academic internships. The HESP, core of UPF Study Abroad, is specially designed to meet the needs of international students interested in learning about Catalonia, Spain, Europe and the issues of a Global world from the Liberal Arts and with an interdisciplinary perspective. All courses are instructed by engaging UPF faculty and maintain the same quality standards that all UPF academic offerings. Topic-based programs contribute to enrich our offerings for students who are interested in focusing on a specific discipline, such as the Legal Studies Abroad Program or the International Business Program.

Additionally, our UPF International Summer School provides a variety of courses in the disciplines of Humanities, Political Sciences and Communication combined with hands-on seminars and on-site learning activities. Welcome aboard!

Take advantage of summer and become a student of the world! Learn a new language, gain knowledge, experience a new culture and earn credits studying abroad in Girona.

 The new Study Abroad Program 2012 at the UdG will be held between June 4th and June 29th at the Girona Faculty of Arts and is aimed at both national and foreign students. These summer courses are taught in English and offer students an opportunity to choose between the Jewish past of Spain, Catalonia and Girona or intensive Spanish language learning. Additionally, students will immerse themselves in Spanish and Catalan culture through activities and field trips included in the program.

THE JEWS OF SPAIN PROGRAM

This Jewish Studies Program in Girona offers students an opportunity to embark on a remarkable journey through the Jewish past of Spain, Catalonia and Girona, where you will explore the contribution of Jewish life to that region's culture and history. Your summer will be challenging and exciting as you learn about the region's vibrant Jewish heritage and its language, as well as exploring the non-Jewish history, politics, and society of the region.

 

HISPANIC STUDIES PROGRAM

This four-week summer program is ideal for students interested in intensive Spanish language and culture learning. Enroll in a Spanish language and conversation class at your level and spend several hours each day in class studying language, grammar, and practicing conversational skills. Additionally, students will immerse themselves in Spanish and Catalan culture through activities and field trips.
